HONG KONG Aug. 4 -- Hong Kong's Chief Executive CY Leung expressed his condolenceto Yunnan earthquake victims on Monday.
A 6.5-magnitude earthquake jolted Ludian County, Zhaotong City in southwest China'sYunnan Province at 4:30 p.m. on Sunday, according to the China Earthquake NetworksCenter.
Leung said the Hong Kong's Disaster Relief Fund Advisory Committee has approachedseveral rescue organizations, and some of them have planned to allocate funds to thecommittee to assist Yunnan's rescue and relief operation after the strong earthquake.
