Learning Objectives

This educational exhibit aims to review the normal anatomy of the menisci of the knee and describe the MRI appearance of 'broken' bucket handle tears using case examples.

 1、半月板桶柄状撕裂MR表现包括：空领结征，双前/后交叉韧带征，双前角征，半月板翻转征，碎块内移征。

Conclusion

Although the bucket handle tear of the knee is a common injury with many well documented MRI signs, the 'broken' bucket handle tear has been seldom described.

 

The broken bucket handle tear is a clinically significant injury often requiring surgical management. It is probable that the ruptured fragments are more mobile and prone to displacement and consequently more likely to lead to pain and locking.

 

Detection and accurate MRI characterisation of these tears requires an in depth understanding of the meniscal anatomy of the knee as well as knowledge of the varying sites of rupture and displacement of fragments.
