2017年6月21日，英国女王伊丽莎白二世发表2017年议会演讲。英国“脱欧”成为女王这次演讲的主要内容。

'My government's priority is to secure the best possible deal as the country leaves the European Union.'

2017年1月19日，特雷莎·梅出席瑞士达沃斯世界经济论坛并致辞。这也是她就任英国首相之后首次参加世界经济论坛年会。

'... the United Kingdom – a country that has so often been at the forefront of economic and social change – will step up to a new leadership role as the strongest and most forceful advocate for business, free markets and free trade anywhere in the world.'

2016年6月24日，一场公投过后，时任英国首相的卡梅伦无奈宣布：再见欧盟！We are out！脱欧并不是卡梅伦当初期待的结果。但是他表示将尊重民众的选择，同时宣布辞职。

2017年1月6日，米歇尔·奥巴马在白宫出席年度学校辅导员颁奖活动，并发表演讲。这也是她离开白宫之前，作为美国第一夫人的最后一次公开演讲。

'So don't be afraid. Do you hear me? Young people, don't be afraid. Be focused. Be determined. Be hopeful. Be empowered. Empower yourself with a good education. Then get out there and use that education to build a country worthy of your boundless promise. Lead by example with hope, never fear.'
