“我送你回家吧”

大家知道这句话怎么翻译吗？

“Let me send you home”？

Let me send you home是错的

虽然send 的确是「送」的意思，

但是这样翻译是不行的！

send someone

是出于一种有目的的安排，

把某人送往某地，

以期待别人为你做某事。

和日常的送回家，

是有区别的。

例：

Her parents sent her to a boarding school.

她的父母把她送到了一所寄宿学校。

Sunny sent Jack to buy subway. 

桑尼派杰克去买赛百味。

地道的“我送你回家”应该这么说！

例：

It's too late. Let me walk you home.
