My name is Simon and I like collecting books. I've been collecting books for seven years and I have three thousand books. I have three bookshelves in which I store some of my books. I have to store the other books in our sitting room. I have run out of room to store books, so my mom says I have to stop and sell some books. The first one I ever got was A Dream of Red Mansion. I particularly love The Journey to the West, in which the king of monkey impresses me most every time I read. I'd like to start a book collectors' club in my school library, which is free. It is open from 10 am to6 pm every Sunday. All my schoolmates are welcome to visit my club.

STEP 2 学习文中出现的易错词组+亮点表达

1. I've been doing. 从过去某一时间到现在的当下一直在做某事，现在完成进行时

e.g. I've been waiting for you. 

     我还在等你。

2. in which 定语从句的介词+关系代词，介词的选择是由后面的名词决定的。which指代先行词three bookshelves，而先行词在定语从句中充当状语，即 I store some of my books in the three bookshelves.

e.g. The society in which we live is put together by man. 

       我们身在其中的这个社会是由人组合而成的。

3. A Dream of Red Mansion，《红楼梦》

    The Journey to the West，《西游记》

这里要说的是英文中没有书名号，而使用斜体书写的方式突出该内容是一本书名~你，记住了吗？

4. impress  =make (someone) feel admiration or respect  vt.使人感到钦佩、敬仰

e.g. What impressed him most was their speed. 
     最令他钦佩的是他们的速度。

5. , which 非限定性定语从句关系代词，与主句分隔开，主要用于补充说明主句中先行词的具体情况，或者是对整个主句作补充说明~

  e.g. most people like you, which is good, but you still need to be modest.

       大多数人喜欢你，这是好事，但你仍然需要谦虚。

STEP 3 再次朗读全文直到能够背诵

昨天留的小问题：graduate是及物动词（vt.）还是不及物动词（vi.）？正确答案是不及物动词（vi.），因为后面不可以直接加宾语，而需要加介词再加宾语，如：I graduated from Peking University.
