From one year to the next, youcannot feel the difference. As the decades stack up, though, the story becomes clear.

从一年到下一年，你感觉不到差别。然而，随着时间的推移，事情变得越来越清楚。

词汇：

difference/ˈdɪfrəns/ n.差别，差异，变化（之处）

stack up v. 将…码放整齐，比高低

decade/ˈdekeɪd/ n. 十年

例句：

1. That is the fundamental difference between the two societies.

结构分析：

第一句：From one year to thenext是介词词组作状语, you是主语， cannot feel是谓语， the difference是宾语。

第二句：As引导状语从句， the decades是主语，stack up是动词词组作宾语, though是连接词，表示转折, the story是主语， becomes是系动词， clear是形容词作表语。
