Lesson 45 The boss’s letter Can you come here a minute please, Bob? Yes, sir? Where's Pamela? She's next door. She's in her office, sir. Can she type this letter for me? Ask her please. Yes, sir. Can you type this letter for the boss please, Pamela? Yes, of course I can. Here you are. Thank you, Bob. Bob! Yes? What's the matter? I can't type this letter. I can't read it! The boss's handwriting is terrible! ——选自《新概念英语》第一册,外语教学与研究出版社,1997年10月第1版 二、每课一句- Can you type this letter for the boss please, Pamela? - Yes, of course I can.
需要注意的是,can和not要合起来写,或者缩略为can't,不能写作can not。
Yes? What's the matter? 此外,“What's the matter?”是简略提问,是Bob用来问Pamela的,所以其完整形式为“What's the matter, Pamela?”。 “What's the matter, ...?”
1. What's the matter, Andy?
2. What's the matter with you, Andy?
3. What's the matter with Jane, Andy?
