Literally, he was born in America, but he is a prominent and talented Mandarin singer in the Chinese music industry. There are millions of fans across Asia, even over the globe. Now he is still active as a tutor for candidates who compete in a famous talent TV show, The Voice of China. After Leehom graduated from his university, he decided himself to make his debut album in 1996 with the help of a renowned music producer in Taiwan. I think that was when he first became popular. But what made him a real household name among young people is that he has performed many songs quite familiar to everyone. I remembered when I went to Karaoke with my classmates several times.
