【原】“学”英语“读”英语是为了看“用”了多少英语，而不是做了多少英译汉：Chinese telecom giant Huawei

在这个“互联网+”的时代，在这个“想知道这句英语汉语是什么意思？”只需用微信扫一扫再“翻译”就让所有英语意思轻轻松松“原形毕露”的时代，我们还有人延续着上世纪“非互联网”时代不得不依赖的没办法的办法：学英语就是为了“懂”其汉语意思。这也正是当今中国的“英语教育”(if any at all)成了“过街老鼠人人见而喊打”的根源之一：时代在进步，你却固守着第二次世界大战“灵得很”的战术战法。

一、下面的英语是为了让你训练“读”英语时“用”英语的，不是给你“英译汉”的：

A telecom giant is something or someone like Huawei in China.

为什么一定要“懂”telecom giant的汉语才算“懂”telecom giant“什么意思”？反之对Huawei的“理解”亦然。

我们学英语要养成的阅读习惯和能力就是这个，而不是“中文什么意思？”

这就是英语学习“理念”转变问题，而不仅仅是为英译汉“懂”英语而学英语问题。

当然，这还涉及到英语单词的“音”和“形”记忆问题：你当然要首先做到“读到”或“听到”telecom giant的“音”是眼前马上能写出它的“形”。不过这是训练的题外话，此处按下不表。
