壬寅九九 Cold Relieving Poem I by Can Rhyme
消寒诗之2 Nine Nine-day Since Winter Soltice
残韵 七律 In the Year of Renyin
张宁仁安 作 By Zhang Ning
急风落叶柳凋残， The swift wind defoliates the willows,
二九飞霜正小寒。 Just Lesser Cold during the second nine days.
傲雪腊梅香馥郁， Wintersweet with faint scent is in bloom ,
经冬百卉恨艰难。 All other flowers withered in such hard time.
幽馨绝俗生奇趣， It is the most elegant that attracts,
素艳含芳向玉栏。 So plain and pretty against the nice rails.
独秀山前金瘦萼， Before the hill the golden delicate blossom,
笑迎春色满烟峦。 Greeting smilingly the spring time.
