雅思阅读中，SUMMARY题型一共有两种。第一种是直接从文章里找单词出来填空的，这种SUMMARY和句子填空题几乎没有任何区别；而另一种是带有选项的SUMMARY，它比第一种SUMMARY多了一个步骤，那就是——在文章中找到答案后，有可能还要在框框里面找这个答案的同义替换。 虽然基本做题方法和普通的句子填空题是一样的，但是这种类型题目的难度往往比直接填空的SUMMARY要更大。原因有三：一是因为它更注重句子与句子整体的，而非简单的词与词的同义替换；二是经常会出现词形变化的情况；第三，题目乱序的几率也要更大。请看视频例题讲解。 视频笔记 ▼
In the 1790s, he wrote to the Home Office suggesting that the departments or governments be linked together through a set of 'conversation tubes', and to the Bank of England with a design for a printing device that could produce unforgeable banknotes. He drew up plans for a 'frigidarium' to keep provisions such as meat, fruit and vegetables fresh. His celcebrated design for a person to be known as a 'Panopticon', in which prisoners would be kept in solitary confinement while being visible at all times to the guards, was very nearly adopted. (Surprisingly, Davies does not discuss the fact that Bentham meant his Panopticon not just as a model prison but also as an instrument of control that could be applied to schools and factories.) Bentham was also a pioneer of the 'science of happiness'. If happiness to be regarded as a science, it has to be measured, and Bentham suggested two ways in which this might be done.  |
