ThisfilmhasbeendescribedastheWorstFilmEverMadeandit’seasytoseewhy.So,whydoesithavesuchacultfollowing?Itishilariousforallthewrongreasons,BellaLugosi,whoappearsatthebeginning,diedbeforethefilmwasmadeandhischaracterwasthenplayedbyanother,whoistallerandyounger.Tohidethis,hewalksaroundholdingacapeoverhisface-bizarretosaytheleast,butjustonereasonwhythisfilmissofunny.Thedirector,EdwardD.WoodJr.,madesometrulybadmovies,but,inhisdefense,hemadethemallwithvirtuallynomoneyandwhilehisskill(orlackof)maybewanting,hispassionformakingfilmsshinesthough.Manyoftoday’sdirectors,withtheirmillions,canonlydreamofhisbeliefinwhathewasdoing-PaulW.Andersontakenote!!!somefilmsaresobadthattheyarejustBAD,whileotherstranscendthatlabelandbecomeworthyadditionstoanycollection.Thankfully,thisfilmisoneofthelatterandamovieIamhappytohaveinmycollection. |
