!SafetyWarning

zTheoperatoroftheHVDCtestershallbeaprofessionalwhohasgotthecertificate

forHVtests.

zBeforetheworkingpowerstarts,twoobviousoffpointsshallbeadded.When

replacingtestedobjectorconnectingwire,thetwooffpointsshallbecutoff.

zBeforetest,pleasecheckallwiring.Thetestloopshallbegroundedwithonepoint

astomanual.

zForbiggercapacitanceobject,thedischargeshallbewith100ohm/vdischarge

resistancerod.Therodshallbenearthetestedobjectslowly.Pleasenotethat

whenzznoiseisover,startthedischarge.Finally,connecttheearthlineandstart

discharge.

zTheuseroftheinstrumentshouldcomplywiththesafetyrulesfromNationalor

localgovernmentanditisrecommendedtosettwoevidentcut-offpointonthe

powersupplylinewhichenterthetester.

zTheoperatormustnottouchotherperson’sbodyduringHVtest,whoisbeinga

certainpotentialDCvoltagecondition,inordertoavoidthedischargebetweenthe

twobodieseachother.

zAftertest,thegroundingwireshallhangtoHVoutputandthendismantleHV

conductwire.

throughHighpotentialoftestedobject,andconnecttoshieldingofHVconductwire.

1.Checkbeforestart

2.Connectpowerwire,cableandgroundingwire.Protectiongroundingwire,work

groundingwireanddischargerodgroundingwireshallbeconnectedtothesingle

groundingwireofthetestedobject.DHVspecialgroundingwireshallbeadopted.No

connectionwireshallbeseriesconnected.

3.Powerswitchisputoffpotion;checkregulatorpotentialmetershallbeatzeropoint.

Overvoltageprotectionis1.1timesoftestvoltage.Raisevoltageatnoload,checkits

sensitivity.

4.Connectpower,andgreenlighton,anditmeanspowerison.

5.Pressredbutton,andredlighton,HVison.

6.Clockwiselyregulatesthepotentialmeter.Outputterminalstartstoraisevoltage

fromzero.Afterrisingtorequiredvoltage,recordcurrentmeterreadings,andcheck

whethercontrolcabinetorHVoutputwireisnormalornot.

7.Lowervoltage.Regulatorpotentialmetertozero,thenpressgreenbutton.CutoffHV

andturnoffpowerswitch.

8.DoleakageandDCvoltagetesttoobject.Connecttestedobjectandgroundingwire,

checkandensurethatthereisnoproblem.Thenturnonpower.

9.Raisevoltagetorequiredvoltageorcurrent.Thevoltagerisingspeedis3-5kVper

second.Forbigcapacitytestobject,testershallmonitorcurrentmeter,makesurethat

thechargingcurrentdoesnotexceedmaximumchargingcurrentoftestequipment.For

smallcapacitanceobject,lighteningarrester,forinstance,raisevoltageto95%oftest

voltage,thenslowlyraisevoltagetorequiredvalue.Thenreadvoltageorcurrentvalue

frommeter.

Forinstance,todomeasurementof0.75UDC-1mA,raisevoltagetoUDC1mA

voltage,thenpressyellowbutton.Thevoltageisloweredto75%oforiginal.Atthis

status,thecurrentcanberead.Aftermeasure,regulatepotentialmeteranti-clockwise

tozero.Pressgreenbutton.Ifnextvoltagerisingisneeded,pressredbutton.

IfnecessaryouterconnectHVdivider,andcomparesvoltageoncontrolbox.
