Abstract:Accurateacquisitionofcropcanopybiochemicalinformationisofgreatsignificanceformonitoringcropgrowthand
guidingprecisefertilization.Previousverticaldistributionresearchesofcropbiochemicalinformationweremainlybasedonhy‐
perspectralinversion,whichwaslackoftheassociationofplantphotosynthesisphysiology.Thisstudymainlyinvestigatedthe
verticaldistributioncharacteristicsofbiochemicalparameterssuchaschlorophyll,carotenoid,drymatter,andwatercontentin
theoilseedrapecanopyunderdifferentnitrogentreatmentsatthemid-seedlingstage.Thephotosyntheticperformanceofleaves
wasmeasuredbyusingfastchlorophyllfluorescencetechnology,andlinearregressionandprincipalcomponentanalysiswere
furtherimplementedtoexploretheinternalrelationshipbetweenfluorescenceresponseandbiochemicalparameters.Theresults
showedthat:(1)Thechlorophyllcontent,carotenoidcontent,drymatterandwatercontentoftherapecanopyatthemid-seed‐
lingstageallshowedaparabolicverticaldistribution,whiletheratioofchlorophylltocarotenoidscontentgraduallydecreases
withtheleafpositionandnitrogentreatments,whichwasthesameastheverticaldistributionpatternoffluorescenceparameters
suchasdrivingforcecomprehensiveperformance(DF)andendelectronchainquantumyield(φ)andotherfluorescencepa‐
